Autonomous manufacturing
Close the loop from design intent to qualified part.
A Precixion cell is sensor and actuator in one. The machine builds the part, NOXBUILD™ watches the melt and corrects it in real time, and every layer becomes qualification evidence.
Why open-loop is not enough
Printers execute. Cells learn.
Open-loop printer
- Runs a fixed parameter file.
- Monitors, then reports deviations after the build.
- Quality is proven afterward with coupons and destructive tests.
- Each new machine starts from zero.
Autonomous cell
- Predicts the melt before the laser fires.
- Holds the build inside the process window layer by layer.
- Checks every layer and writes the evidence as it goes.
- Every build adds to the dataset that qualifies the next part.
The loop
Body, brain and asset in one loop.
- Design intentEnters the cell
- P300 cellPrints, finishes, inspects · 250M trace samples per build
- NOXBUILD™Senses, predicts, corrects
- Qualified part + PAQ recordShipped with its evidence
- Data trains the next modelAnd returns to the cell
The P300 is both sensor and actuator. It captures around 250 million trace samples on every build, and because Precixion owns the controller, corrected parameters write straight back to the machine. NOXBUILD™ was trained and validated on real builds, not synthetic ones. Every build is a labeled episode, and every labeled episode is a qualification record.
Levels of autonomy
Advisory first. Correction next. Unattended qualified production is the goal.
-
Advisory
Predicts the melt and tells the operator what is about to happen.
First step -
In-process correction
Adjusts parameters inside the window with no human in the loop.
Next -
Unattended qualified production
Runs the lot, inspects it, and produces the qualification evidence as a by-product.
